If your bike has a vacuum operated fuel petcock, the diaphram inside of the petcock could be leaking. This would let gas flow directly into the carburator. It would cause that cylinder to run rich with the engine running and when not running, it would mimic a leaking float valve. Sounds like the float is stuck, or the float needle. The screw on the inside edge of the headlight housing adjusts the lateral movement of the headlight. The screw on the top of the headlight adjusts the vertical movement of the headlight. Position the car so that it is 25 feet away from the door. 2 Turn on the headlights. 3 Open the hood.
